In our increasingly digital world, I’ve made a conscious choice to exclusively shoot analog film photography, particularly focusing on capturing the nude feminine form and portraiture of human beings. I shoot film because it offers a unique and tangible experience. Unlike digital photography, where moments are captured and manipulated by software or computers, film photography results in a physical negative that I personally develop and print in my darkroom. This process bypasses digital interpretation or adjustment, allowing me to present my work in its purest form.

I exclusively use expired film from the 1970s to the 2010s, ranging in various sizes. Film, like the subjects I photograph, is an imperfect medium. By incorporating the element of time, I believe that the challenge of capturing fleeting moments intensifies, adding depth and meaning to my work. I think the viewer of my prints can sense something different about these photographs, even if they can’t quite pinpoint what it is.
